Description

The V4 Special series for robot X8-X15 is a family of integrated robotic drive modules covering four sizes: X8-32, X8-120, X12-320, and X15-450. These units combine geared output stages, encoder feedback, and communication interfaces for robot axes that require compact motion control with high torque density. Across the family, rated torque ranges from 8 to 145 Nm, with peak torque from 32 to 450 Nm, rated speed from 98 to 244 RPM, and rated output power from 204 to 1480 W.

Key technical strengths of the series are precise closed-loop control, high overload capability, and load-ready output construction. Control accuracy is specified at <0.01 degree on all models. Encoder options include Single Encoder ABS-18BIT on X8-32 and Dual Encoder ABS-17BIT(Input) / 17BIT(Output) on the larger models. Communication options include RS485, EtherCAT / CAN BUS, and 485 / EtherCAT / CAN BUS depending on version. Output stages use deep groove ball bearings or crossed roller bearings, with backlash of 8 to 10 arcmin. Axial load capacity reaches 5.4 kN, radial load reaches 6 kN, and efficiency reaches 82.4%.

Stall torque data also shows short-time overload performance up to 435 Nm at 5 s on the X15-450 and up to 300 Nm at 3 s on the X12-320.
