RH-14

RH-Hollow harmonic series integrated servo actuators combine a hollow harmonic drive with 48 V operation, low backlash below 40 arcsec, dual 17-bit absolute encoders, and EtherCAT/CAN bus communication. Across RH-14 to RH-32, they provide precise positioning and compact high-torque motion control for demanding automation axes.

Description

The RH-Hollow Harmonic series is a family of 48 V hollow harmonic actuator modules with integrated gearing for compact, high-precision rotary motion. The range includes RH-14, RH-17, RH-20, RH-25, and RH-32. All listed versions use a gear ratio of 100, support EtherCAT and CAN BUS communication, and combine dual absolute 17-bit encoders on input and output with repeat positioning accuracy of < 0.01 and backlash of < 40 arcsec.

Across the family, no-load speed is 30 RPM, while rated speed is 25 RPM for RH-14 to RH-25 and 18 RPM for RH-32. Rated torque spans from 11 Nm to 150 Nm, with peak torque from 28 Nm to 229 Nm. The modules use a 3-phase Y connection, 10 pole pairs, and insulation grade F. Depending on size, radial load capacity reaches 65.4 kN static and 38.2 kN dynamic, while axial load capacity reaches 342.6 kN static and 81.8 kN dynamic. Weight ranges from 0.78 kg to 4.74 kg, depending on model and version.

  • High positioning precision with dual ABS-17Bit encoders, < 0.01 repeat positioning accuracy, and < 40 arcsec backlash
  • Wide torque coverage from 11 Nm rated / 28 Nm peak up to 150 Nm rated / 229 Nm peak
  • Compact drive concept with hollow harmonic construction and integrated 48 V operation
  • High load capability for demanding mechanical interfaces, with strong radial and axial bearing loads
  • Suitable for motion axes that require precise rotary control, low backlash, fieldbus integration, and compact installation space

With consistent communication interfaces and encoder architecture across the series, the RH Hollow Harmonic family is suited for machine and automation applications that need accurate indexing, controlled rotary positioning, and stable torque transmission in a compact actuator format. Size selection allows matching torque, inertia, load capacity, and weight to the axis requirement.
